Today we began our new unit on weather and climate. The IB inquiry statements and questions for this unit are as follows:
Statement of Inquiry: Local weather patterns and global climate systems are consequences of natural movements, and can be influenced by human activities.
Factual Question – What is the difference between weather and climate?
Conceptual Questions – How do natural process cause weather and climate patterns? How can human activities influence these patterns?
Debatable Question – What are some of the potential consequences of the changing global climate?
Any students who did not finish reading Chapter 5, lesson 1, or writing the vocabulary terms in class will need to finish at home.
